PRESCRIPTION PATTERN ANALYSIS OF NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS IN TERTIARY CARE HOSPITAL

Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze prescription pattern non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and identify commonly used NSAIDs their drug-related problems (DRPs). Methods: A prospective cross-sectional on analysis conducted for period 6 months. Results: Prescriptions 150 patients containing at least one were analyzed. About 56% prescribed males 44% female. more below 60-year age group (47%) but most frequently by 61–70-year (21%). Subjects regularly with acetaminophen (95%) diclofenac (22%). Among all prescriptions, (19%) prescriptions contained in form fixed dose combinations (FDCs). 37% had other analgesic coprescribed along amid which tramadol majority Prescription also antibiotic (90%) gastroprotective agents (GPAs) (97%) that consisted pantoprazole belonging class proton pump inhibitors persistently GPA (86%).
